Looking for something that isn’t a rabbit, doesn’t require penetration, and isn’t your typical buzzy battery-based bullet? Look no further! One of the most loved additions to my Toy Box is the LELO Sona Cruise.

Listennn. I have researched, Googled, YouTubed, looked up reviews and video demonstrations (yup, live action and educational) - everything!! A good quality toy can be a bit of a financial investment so researching the options is important.

There are a few brands that offer this type of toy: the main ones I've seen are the Satisfier (most economical option), the Womanizer, and the LELO Sona and Sona Cruise - all of which have this alluring suction technology. The difference between the Sona and the Sona Cruise is that the Cruise has "cruise control" technology that helps the toy maintain the same intensity throughout usage. I decided to go with the LELO version for a few reasons.. 1. It’s cute. Mine is soft pink with a rose gold accent! 2. It’s medical grade silicone, compatible with water based lube, USB rechargeable, waterproof, and *promises* to be quiet. And 3. I trust the quality of LELO.

The packaging is minimalistic, and if I didn't want to charge it immediately I would have put it on display in it's package. The toy itself fits comfortably in the palm of my hand and the silicone is super soft to the touch. Like most toys, it is compatible with water based lubes (oils and silicone based lubes can slowly break down the material of the toy, reducing its life span). It is water resistant, rechargable, and easy to use.

After charging it up I was super excited to try it. Honestly speaking, I thought the reviews were exaggerated. They really sounded too good to be true, and these testimonials of 60-second-or-less orgasms seemed a bit unrealistic to me. BUT LET ME TELL YOU this thing WORKS!! I've never responded so quickly to a toy, I’ve learned that I can squirt from clitoral stimulation, and I have discovered that I have the ability to experience multiple orgasms in one session. It is easy to use solo, with a partner, and in addition to penetration. So basically this toy is my new best friend - I particularly enjoy using it around my clit area first, as opposed to direct stimulation, so I can enjoy the sensations and feel the build up.

Side note: I feel like this would be a great toy for womxn with difficulty reaching orgasm. It will increase sensitivity, increase blood flow, and stimulate the whole clitoris from root to tip - potentially making it easier to climax.

  • Cute
  • Easy to use
  • Can be used solo, with partners, and in addition to penetration
  • USB rechargeable
  • Waterproof/ water resistant
  • Medical grade silicone
  • Easy to clean
  • Compact size
  • Not your average vibration (sonic wave technology stimulates the whole clitoris, not just the tip)
  • Did I mention its EFFECTIVE?

  • Can be a bit noisy (especially when you break the suction seal)
  • The extra blood flow from suction can make your clitoral hood swell if you keep it on for too long (not painful, just puffy)
  • Can't use coconut oil as lube
  • Not socially acceptable to use at work

In conclusion, you need this in your life.
